John Branagan - CEO/President

1977 John headed for California to pursue a career as a stuntman. After an unexpected two-year layover in Las Vegas (where he worked as an actor/stuntman in live performances), John moved to Hollywood in 1980. His dreams of becoming a Hollywood stuntman were finally within his reach - or so he thought. Reality quickly hit home.

The fact that Hollywood was all about who you knew, John spent about a year doing extra work and making contacts. One of his first jobs as a stuntman was working on a Roger Corman film, that opportunity was to become one of the biggest breaks of his young career. Not only was he able to finally get work on a Hollywood movie as a stuntman, but he soon became the stunt coordinator on some of Roger's movies. Having spent relatively little time in the industry, getting the job as a stunt coordinator was unheard of.

Although there was little money to be made working for Roger, John believed that the opportunity to work for the legendary filmmaker was paying him ten-fold. He still believes that the days he spent working with Roger Corman were more informative and useful than any film school education. A few years back, while working on the set of "Minority Report" with Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise, academy award winning cinematographer Janusz Kaminiski and John had a chance to reflect on the days they worked together for Roger Corman. The word they used to describe it - priceless.

Over the past 25 years, John has had the opportunity to work with some of Hollywood's greatest directors, actors and producers in over 100 films and TV shows.

In 2008, John won the Taurus World Stunt Award for best stunt coordinator for his work on the film "Live Free, or Die Hard."

Since its conception in 2007 John spends most of his time running his production company, 3rd Steer Productions. The first production for his company, "Bullfighter," is a pilot John wrote and directed, which is currently in a development deal with a cable network.
